March Recap

Spring has officially sprung and I am finally getting the opportunity to shoot as much as I've wanted to. I have also begun to beef up on new equipment for the summer, but more on that later.

March proved to be a very busy month at the firehouse.  We ran a ton of calls, made a few public appearances and had our annual Pancake Breakfast, which of course, I shot.

Additional Photos from the breakfast can be found on the Williston Observer site.

Like I mentioned earlier, I happened to pick up a few new lenses, the 135 f/2 and the 50 f/1.4. I've been very happy with the results that these lenses have given me over the span of the last month and I am currently planning to move over to shooting with mostly prime lenses. I personally really like the extra thought process that is necessary when shooting with primes, and hey you really can't lose with improved low light performance.

In other news, I made my first large format print - it can be seen in the WFD Firehouse. It came out great! Big thank you to Green Mountain Camera for the help.

Currently, I am looking for some interesting stuff to photograph, If you is a cool idea, let me know, Id love to hear it.

As for next month, I have a few projects that I am working on. I also have a few more review posts in the works, atleast one of which I hope to get up this month.
